Beautiful GE 525 armchair by Hans J. Wegner, produced by Getama during the early 1960s (1960 - 1965). Solid oak frame with Wegner’s characteristic rounded backrest and clean joinery. Upholstered in an light orange wool fabric.
Underneath the seating it contains the burned Getama stamp — typical for 1950s–mid 1960s production. Alongside this, a rare retailer label from Bryssel Bolig (marked “Nr. 114” and “Nr. 28”) offers a glimpse into its original commercial life. Bryssel Bolig was a respected Danish interior and furniture retailer active during the golden age of Danish Modern. Their numbered stickers were used for showroom inventory and special client orders, meaning this chair once featured in an interior curated during the height of Denmark’s design movement. A Danish masterpiece with an real Danish backstory!
Condition: Very good vintage condition with a warm patina and light age-related signs. Light waterdamage on the bottom of the legs (slightly darkened), but otherwise in mint condition.
